Visual Identity
The Filipinas Heritage Library is a research center and library, established in 1996, dedicated to sparking interest in the visual, aural, and printed story of the Filipino. The system emphasizes the i’s as a reference to the self and the library’s mission to make one more aware of their identity.
The slash as the i is used as a motif to represent the libraries' foot in its past and future.¹ Since its establishment, "it has contributed to raising Filipinos’ level of consciousness on the need to preserve and study the country’s heritage."²
